As one of the project’s efforts in supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), the Women-Friendly Spaces (WFS) established in Minalabac and Nabua in Camarines Sur has been officially turned over to their respective local government units (LGU) on May 9, 2025.
Attended by the key municipal agencies and DSWD representatives, the turnover ceremony also included the blessing of the WFS, the official donning of vests for the spaces’ facilitators and community mobilizers, and the signing of the Memorandums of Agreement.
With the addition of these facilities to the LGUs, more spaces are created where women and girls can feel more empowered to speak up against discrimination and abuse.
The establishment and turnover of the women-friendly spaces bring the communities of Minalabac and Nabua one step closer to “𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭.”
