In Gainza, Camarines Sur, on November 11, 2024, 155 Dignity Kits and 458 Adolescent Kits were distributed to women and adolescent girls affected by Tropical Storm Kristine. These essential kits were delivered in the barangays of Cagbunga, Dahilig, Loob, Malbong, Namuat, Sampaloc, District I (Poblacion), and District II (Poblacion).
The Dignity Kits contain essential supplies to help maintain hygiene and dignity to ensure that women and girls can still access life-saving information, even in the most challenging conditions.
The Adolescent SRH Kits, which come in dry bags, include a washcloth/hand towel, bath soap, laundry soap, soap box, undergarments, sanitary napkins, reusable pads, a whistle, and a flashlight. These kits are provided during emergencies to ensure that adolescents, especially girls, have the resources and information they need to protect their sexual and reproductive health rights. Just like the Dignity Kits for Women, Adolescent SRH Kits play a critical role in safeguarding the well-being of young people during times of crisis.
A heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff of the Together Project and all the volunteers whose hard work and commitment made this distribution possible. Your efforts are making a real difference in rebuilding lives and strengthening resilience in these communities.
