Elpedio, whose family survived Typhoon Opong, recalled the fear he felt as the storm began. As the winds grew stronger, he immediately sought refuge at a neighborβs house that offered better protection from falling coconut trees.![]()

His home was partially damaged but remained livable. Still, he feared the danger of debris falling around their area.![]()

Despite everything, Elpedio expressed his gratitude to ADRA for visiting their community β giving the world a glimpse of their struggles and the ongoing aftermath of Typhoon Opong.![]()
