The Responsible Investment and Shared Empowerment (RISE VisMin) Project facilitated the attendance of our Cooperative Partners to attend the Cooperative Development Authority’s (CDA) Information Caravan held at Valencia City’s Bukidnon City Hall Covered Court on February 16, 2024. Our four registered cooperatives in Bukidnon representing the sectors of women, farmers, and entrepreneurs attended the event.
The info caravan was CDA’s way of bringing the cooperatives the latest information on cooperative programs and services. It was also an avenue for CDA to hear the cooperatives’ concerns about their submission of the mandatory reports, their reactions, insights, and especially their difficulties in complying with the memo on report submission.
The activity also was a strategy of the CDA 10 for cooperatives to familiarize themselves with the different programs and services of the Authority and how to avail them; hence, the program carried the presentation of all the units/sections. Representatives from the CDA Region 10, in coordination with the Cooperative Development Council of the City of Valencia, spearheaded the event.
This facilitation is one of the objectives of the RISE VisMin Project, which provides technical support to our cooperative partners since they have attained legal personality. This will guide them in governing their respective cooperatives efficiently and effectively, benefiting their members and the local communities in which they operate.
