Representatives from different CSOs in Baguio City have joined the Multisectoral Consultation at the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Building.
The City Multisectoral Consultation is the second consultation workshop the project holds for policy development. This aims to provide an avenue for the CSOs in each municipality to recommend policies that would better respond to issues and challenges on natural hazards, disasters, and the impacts of climate change that affect their communities. Discussions on Resilience and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management—Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation (DRRM-CCAM) were also done to enrich the participant’s knowledge on the said topics, which would help in the consultation process.
This event is anchored on the principle of participatory governance, an essential element in promoting sustainable and resilient communities.
The results of the consultation will be consolidated and presented among local government units in the next consultations.
