My land, my future

Joseph found this piece of land in Dagami, Leyte years ago and decided to start a family here. The river at the back of their home is a friendly reminder of mother nature’s beauty. But during storm season, it overflows and poses a threat to their lives. Typhoon Haiyan washed their house away.

Through ADRA’s Support to Shelter Recovery program, Joseph trained to be a carpenter and with his own hands, rebuilt his home— taller and sturdier this time than their old house. It’s summertime in the Philippines. Things are looking up for Joseph, his wife, daughter and their furry family member. Keep them in your prayers!
