In Makato, Aklan, the ADRA team has conducted a series of training with community leaders and local government officials on community-based Disaster Risk Reduction. The Training of Trainors was conducted on September 10-11 in capital city of Kalibo.

Mr Galo Ibardolaza, Provincial DRRMO Executive Officer- Aklan, discussed the Philippine DRR Act of 2010 or also known as RA 10121.

Ezra Munoz, BUILD Community Mobilizer, led the group activity of 27 members from 4 BDRRMC and Municipal LGU of Makato.

This activity is part of the Building Disaster-Resilient Families and Communities (BUILD) project of ADRA Philippines through the funding from Czech Republic Humanitarian Aid in coordination with ADRA Norway and ADRA UK.
