The ADRA team in Iloilo has conducted a Contingency Planning and Early Warning System Training to the members of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) of the municipality of Ajuy.

The training-workshops were held from September 15 to 19, 2014 aiming to help the municipal local government manage natural hazards present in their locality through an effective Contingency Planning and Early Warning System.

Mayor Juan Alvarez led the participants while resource speakers from Office of the Civil Defense Region VI and Center for Disaster Preparedness facilitated the training.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to ADRA for providing an avenue for us to improve our Disaster Risk Reduction Program not just in the municipality level but also in the barangay level”, said the mayor.
