A Disaster, a Response, and a Community Rising Together
On July 14, 2024, a massive fire tore through Barangay Badjao in Cavite City, leaving hundreds homeless. The local government declared a state of calamity to aid those affected. ADRA’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) quickly stepped in, conducting a Rapid Needs Assessment to understand the fire’s impact and the evacuees’ urgent needs.
By July 21, 2024, ADRA had successfully reached out to 475 families in Badjao, Barangay 5 and 7, providing them with cash assistance. We are grateful for the unwavering support of our partners: the Cavite Mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Adventist Community Services (ACS) of Cavite City, Cavite City Social Welfare and Development, and the Local Government Unit of Cavite City.
Our hearts go out to the affected communities. We stand with you in solidarity.
Together, with the strength of your community spirit, you will rebuild.
