Cacao Plantation Training

In partnership with the Department of Agriculture in Valencia City, Bukidnon, Project RISE recently conducted a Cacao Training session, a lecture series in Mountain View College Campus Valencia City, and an onsite demonstration in Guinoyoran Valencia City, Bukidnon. This initiative aims to empower farmer cooperatives with the skills and knowledge necessary to cultivate high-quality cacao, contributing to the growth of the agricultural sector in our community.

The training, held from June 25 to 26, 2024, brought together farmer cooperatives from Valencia City. The comprehensive program covered various aspects of cacao farming, including:
Cacao Cultivation Techniques
Soil Management
Pest and Disease Control
Post-Harvest Processing
Sustainable Farming Practices

Experienced agronomists and high-valued crop specialists from the Department of Agriculture in Valencia City led the training. Their extensive knowledge and expertise ensured that participants received the most up-to-date and relevant information, tailored to the specific needs of our local farming community.
