It was on October 16, 2021, when typhoon Odette hit the Philippines. The unmerciful typhoon left the southeastern parts of the country in total devastation, making a great amount of casualties and loss to the said area. Many lives were taken and many families were affected as the typhoon brought heavy rains and flooding. As one of ADRA’s great commissions, the ADRA’s response team in collaboration with the Local Government Unit, joined in helping the victims of typhoon Odette.
One of the help ADRA extended to the victims was the housing project for those families who lost their shelters. In this article, let us witness some of the beneficiaries of the Shelter Assistance Project of ADRA, and hear their heart-breaking experiences during the surge of typhoon Odette.
