On the morning of September 10, 2024, a big fire happened in Barangay Longos, Zapote III, Bacoor, Cavite. 

The fire started at 11:52 AM and quickly spread through the neighborhood, where houses were close together and made of light materials. The flames moved very fast because it was dry and the houses were near each other. There were 816 affected families, 4,080 affected individuals, 17 evacuation centers, and 8 injuries reported. 

ADRA Philippines, in partnership with Adventist Community Services (ACS) and Cavite Mission, along with the volunteers from Aniban Church conducted assessments and validations at evacuation centers where many of those affected by the incident are currently seeking refuge.

From September 13 to 15, ADRA Philippines, with assistance from the Cavite Mission, supportive church leaders, dedicated pastors, and volunteers, successfully provided financial aid to 470 families affected.
