ADRA Distributes Additional Relief Assistance for Typhoon Ulysses Victims

Due to the overflowing support that came from multiple individuals and organizations during Typhoon Ulysses last November, ADRA was able to extend another wave of relief assistance to 400 severely affected households in the municipality of Delfin Albano, Isabela last April 8. 2021.

ADRA is thankful for our partnership with Adventist Community Services (ACS) of Northeast Luzon Mission (NeLM) under the leadership of ACS Director Pastor Jules Bermudez, who was able to tirelessly implement the massive Typhoon Ulysses emergency response last November-December 2020. They were instrumental in identifying which municipality within the Isabela/Cagayan area was still recovering from the flood brought about by Typhoon Ulysses.

ADRA would also like to thank Delfin Albano’s Mayor Arnold Edward P. Co and Municipal Administrator Jocelyn Manibog, for their assistance in identifying the beneficiaries and ensuring that safety COVID-19 protocols were being kept.

And finally, we would also like to commend the incredible spirit of service that was present in the ACS volunteers in Delfin Albano. Risking the Covid-19 Pandemic, these volunteers visited, interviewed, and validated the 400 homes that were to receive the cash assistance. Their preparation before the distribution was the main reason why ADRA was able to smoothly implement the cash distribution in 3 different locations within the alloted time period (*1 day).

*1 Day – this is the time allowance given for an “outsider” to traverse or to conduct their business within the province of Isabela, without having to go through quarantine.
