On April 27, 2023, a Level 3 FIRE broke out in a compound in Barangay 22, Cavite City. As of today, there are 731 families, or 2,924 individuals affected by the fire incident and currently taking temporary shelter in three evacuation centers in Cavite City.

But on this day, May 4, 2023, a powerful message of hope and support were delivered through the joint effort of ADRA Philippines and Adventist Community Services of Cavite Mission. Together, 450 households from Barangay 22 Quadra, Cavite City that evacuated in Ladislao Diwa Elementary School received cash assistance that will give them the ability to buy their shelter repair kits from local hardware stores, giving them also the choice of which materials to prioritize.

We would like to thank the leadership of the CM ACS Director, Pastor Andeth Regio for leading our volunteers for an effective validation and a successful distribution.

Indeed, ADRA and ACS are stronger together in bringing practical assistance to community members affected by disasters and crises!
